Twenty-Five Years as a Duo

Frank and Tom have been The Mediums for a quarter century. Three thousand shows is the kind of number most bands never reach, and it explains what you hear the moment they start playing: two musicians who know each other's next move before it happens. Based in New Haven, they built their reputation the old-fashioned way: night after night in Connecticut's clubs and restaurants, gradually becoming a fixture of the shoreline music scene and performing throughout Connecticut and the surrounding states.

Going Electric: The Full Band

In 2021, The Mediums grew. Bassist Dean Falcone and drummer Scott McDonald, both fixtures of the Connecticut music scene, joined to form the full-band version of the group. Now The Mediums show up around the shoreline in two configurations: the stripped-down acoustic duo that made their name, or the full four-piece band, depending on the night and the room. Either way, the core of the act is the same: songs everyone knows, played with precision and delivered with energy.

Built to Fit Anywhere

Part of what has kept The Mediums working steadily for 25 years is versatility. They play club dates, private parties, and corporate events, and the duo-or-band flexibility means they can scale to the space: an intimate acoustic set for a restaurant dining room, or the full band for a packed Friday night.
